The climate in Mexico can be described as mostly high temperatures with moderate to low rainfall.

There's some differences in the climate due to the topography and its situation between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean.

The lowlands at the Gulf of Mexico (east coast) are characterized by a hotter, more humid climate. The water is all-year warm and clear. Rain-season in that area usually is between June and Mid-October with most rain in September.

The parts south of the 24° parallel (most dolphin swim locations are in that area) have an all year average temperature between 24°C - 28°C (75°F-82°F)

Loreto at the Baja peninsula at the Gulf of California (west coast) also has a wonderful climate with 360 days of sunshine a year and annual average temperature about 24°C / 75°F.

Hurricans may occur anytime between June and November.
